Please refer to this page for details about what to expect at Tulip Valley Farms (facilities, accessibility, etc) and how to best plan your trip to our unique tulip farm experience.

For inquiries about the status of bloom in our field, the best way to get that information is on our Facebook or Instagram, which we update daily (sometimes even more) as the spring season approaches. General questions about the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival can be directed to them.

Here are answers to some FAQs:

Do you allow photographers? Yes! We love photographers and we really love it when they tag us in their photos and/or send them to us with permission to use in the future. If you’re looking to bring clients out for family, senior, maternity, etc. photos, we do not charge an extra fee (just regular ticket prices). Photographers and their clients are welcome to use the field like our other guests, but we ask that you do not bring props and are mindful of other visitors. If you would like to photograph at the field during sunrise and/or with very few people, we recommend getting the Sunrise Ticket.

Do you allow drones? We may allow you to fly your drone under certain circumstances. Please email [email protected] with your inquiry at least 48 hours in advance.

When will you open? That is wholly up to Mother Nature! The Skagit Valley Tulip Festival is officially April 1-30, but we will open our doors when we have 25% color in the field (hundreds of thousands of blooms). Look for announcements on our social media, as well as, regular bloom updates.

When is “peak bloom?” Here’s the secret: there’s no such thing as peak bloom! Tulips come in early-blooming, mid-blooming, and late-blooming varieties; when the early-bloomers are “on” the late-bloomers are still green and vice versa. There will never be a time at any tulip farm/garden where all varieties are in bloom at the same time, that’s just not how tulips work. However, we can promise that if we are open, you will find yourself immersed in hundreds of thousands of tulips! If you are planning a trip from outside the region, the safest bet is to plan your trip for mid-April.

Born from our deep love for the Skagit Valley and a lifelong passion for sharing the beauty of tulips, we created Tulip Valley Farms to enhance the experience of visitors who came to witness the vibrant blooms. Since it’s opening season in 2023, it has bloomed into the West Coast’s largest tulip u-pick farm and “World’s Most Scenic Tulip U-Pick Experience.” As the only u-pick tulip farm of the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival, farm with animals, grass paths between the rows of tulips, and welcoming outside food, Tulip Valley Farms has already earned the reputation as the best tulip farm for kids and families in Skagit Valley.
