Why U-Pick Daffodils at Tulip Valley Farms Is Unique

Most daffodil fields in Skagit Valley are commercial production fields intended to be viewed from the road. Tulip Valley Farms is the only location where guests can safely park, enter the fields, and walk among blooming daffodils during the festival.

Wide, walkable rows allow visitors to explore comfortably, take photos, and enjoy the flowers up close without feeling rushed. The experience is intentionally calm and approachable, making it easy to slow down and appreciate the first blooms of spring.

Who Will Love U-Pick Daffodils

U-Pick Daffodils is ideal for visitors wanting an early-season farm experience. It’s especially popular with families, couples, photographers, and guests visiting Skagit Valley in March who are looking for something interactive and memorable.

Because daffodils bloom in stages throughout the month, the fields change over time, offering a slightly different experience with each visit.

Daffodil U-Pick FAQs

What tools do I need to U-Pick daffodils?

No tools are required. Daffodil stems can be picked by hand. Simply grasp the stem near its base and pull gently to remove it from the ground. Buckets are provided to carry your flowers while you pick.

What if a bulb comes out of the ground when I pick a daffodil?

This can happen occasionally. If a bulb comes out with your flower, you can cut it off at the wrapping station, and staff will dispose of it for you.

Bulbs pulled while blooming will not rebloom, as they have not had time to recharge in the ground. Removing the bulb helps protect future growing seasons.

Can I purchase more than one U-Pick bouquet?

Yes. If purchasing online, you can add additional U-Pick bouquets during checkout at the online price. On the farm, you will receive one bucket for each bouquet purchased. For example, two bouquets will be marked by two buckets, indicating payment for 20 stems.

Do you offer pre-picked daffodil bouquets?

Yes. Pre-picked daffodil bouquets are available for purchase and vary in price based on variety and arrangement. Some bouquets are available near the front gate and can be purchased without festival admission.

How many flowers are included in a U-Pick bouquet?

Each U-Pick bouquet includes 10 daffodil stems. Buckets are provided for carrying flowers, but bouquets are limited to the number of stems purchased and are not “fill the bucket.”
