U-Pick Tulips at Tulip Valley Farms offers a hands-on way to experience the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. Guests are invited to walk through the fields, choose their favorite blooms, and create a fresh tulip bouquet straight from the rows.

As the only U-Pick tulip farm in Skagit Valley, Tulip Valley Farms was intentionally designed for exploration, with wide, grass-rowed paths that make it easy to move through the fields, take photos, and enjoy the tulips up close.

A U-Pick Tulip experience includes:

  • Walk-through, hands-on access to the tulip fields
  • The opportunity to select your own tulips directly from the rows
  • A curated U-Pick bouquet with 10 tulip stems
  • Buckets provided for carrying flowers while you pick
  • Wrapping station with rubber bands and plastic wrap to prepare your bouquet for the trip home
  • No scissors or tools required

Tulip U-Pick FAQs

What tools do I need to U-Pick tulips?

No tools are needed. Tulip stems can be picked by hand by grasping the stem near its base and pulling gently to remove it from the ground. We ask guests not to use scissors or cutting tools, as tools can spread disease between plants across the field.

Buckets are provided to carry your tulips while you pick.

What if a tulip bulb comes out of the ground when I pick?

Occasionally, a bulb may come out with the stem. If this happens, you can cut the bulb off at the wrapping station, and staff will dispose of it for you.

Tulip bulbs removed while blooming will not rebloom, as they have not had time to recharge in the soil. Removing the bulb helps protect future growing seasons.

Can I purchase more than one U-Pick tulip bouquet?

Yes. Additional U-Pick tulip bouquets can be added during online checkout at the online price. On the farm, you will receive one bucket for each bouquet purchased. For example, purchasing two bouquets will be marked by two buckets, indicating payment for 20 stems.

Do you offer pre-picked tulip bouquets?

Yes. Pre-picked tulip bouquets are available for purchase and vary in price based on tulip variety and arrangement. Some bouquets are available near the front gate and can be purchased without festival admission.

How many tulips are included in a U-Pick bouquet?

Each U-Pick tulip bouquet includes 10 tulip stems. Buckets are provided for carrying flowers while you pick, but bouquets are limited to the number of stems purchased and are not intended to be filled beyond that amount.
