World’s Most Scenic U-Pick Tulip Experience

Awarded by the World Tulip Society

Tulip Valley Farms has been officially recognized as the World’s Most Scenic U-Pick Tulip Experience, an international honor awarded at the World Tulip Summit in The Hague, Netherlands. After just its second season, the farm earned global recognition for creating an immersive, walk-through tulip experience unlike anywhere else in the world.

Guests are invited to experience what made Tulip Valley Farms stand out on the world stage during the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival.

A Global Award with Local Roots

In 2024, Tulip Valley Farms was honored at the World Tulip Summit, a gathering of tulip growers, designers, tourism leaders, and floral experts from around the globe. The award recognizes not only the beauty of the fields, but the interactive, guest-focused approach that allows visitors to walk the rows, pick their own tulips, and experience the farm at a personal pace.

Founder and CEO Andrew Miller accepted the award during a ceremony presented by U.S. Ambassador to the Netherlands, Shefali Razdan Duggal, marking a proud moment for Skagit Valley agriculture on an international stage.

What Makes the Experience “World’s Most Scenic”

Tulip Valley Farms was recognized for more than visual beauty. The award highlights an experience designed around participation, access, and connection.

Set against the backdrop of the Cascade Mountains and surrounded by the natural landscape of Skagit Valley, the farm invites guests to slow down and explore. Wide, grass-rowed paths encourage wandering, while U-Pick tulips allow visitors to interact directly with the fields rather than view them from a distance.

It’s a setting that feels expansive and peaceful, where visitors aren’t just observing tulips but becoming part of the festival itself.

Skagit Valley's Only U-Pick Experience

The Only Festival U-Pick Tulip Experience in the Region

Tulip Valley Farms is the only tulip farm in Skagit Valley offering U-Pick flowers during the Tulip Festival, a distinction that played a key role in earning global recognition.

While many tulip gardens are designed for viewing only, Tulip Valley Farms blends large-scale beauty with hands-on engagement. Guests can walk through the rows, choose their own blooms, and leave with a bouquet they picked themselves, creating a memory that goes beyond photos.

Inspiration from the World’s Tulip Capital

The World Tulip Summit offered more than an award. It provided an opportunity to learn from the best in the world.

Andrew attended the summit alongside his wife and head designer Holly Miller, and his sister Vanessa Harrington, who supports technology, marketing, and programming at the farm. Together, they connected with bulb growers, experience designers, and tourism innovators shaping the future of tulip experiences worldwide.

One highlight of the trip was an off-season visit to Keukenhof, often considered the world’s most famous spring garden. Walking its paths and learning about its design philosophy sparked new ideas that continue to influence how Tulip Valley Farms evolves each season.

Experience the Award-Winning Farm

Being named the World’s Most Scenic U-Pick Tulip Experience is an honor, but the true reward is sharing the experience with visitors each spring.

Whether you’re planning your first visit or returning to see what’s new, Tulip Valley Farms invites you to experience the fields that earned global recognition.
