About Tulip Valley Farms

A family-built, guest-focused tulip farm in Skagit Valley, created to offer a more immersive and welcoming way to experience spring.

Tulip Valley Farms exists to make visiting the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival feel joyful, accessible, and memorable. From how guests arrive and park to how they explore the fields, everything here was designed with people in mind.

Families, photographers, locals, and first-time visitors are all invited to slow down, step into the rows, and experience tulips up close.

A Different Kind of Tulip Farm

Designed for people, not just photos.

Tulip Valley Farms was created to offer something different from traditional tulip viewing experiences. Instead of standing at the edge of the fields, guests are encouraged to walk through wide, grass-rowed paths, explore at their own pace, and engage with the flowers in a hands-on way.

We celebrate spring from a different perspective, featuring:

  • Walk-through access to the tulip fields
  • U-Pick tulips and daffodils
  • Family-friendly layouts with room to roam
  • Reduced stress around traffic, parking, and crowding

For many visitors, the difference is immediate. The experience feels relaxed, welcoming, and personal.

Andrew Miller, Founder of Tulip Valley Farms

Built Together, Row by Row

A true family partnership.

Tulip Valley Farms was founded by Andrew Miller, a Mount Vernon native who discovered a passion for tulip farming in 2019. What began as a curiosity quickly grew into a full-scale family endeavor rooted in community, creativity, and hospitality.

Andrew and his wife Holly built Tulip Valley Farms together, combining farming, business, design, and logistics into a shared vision. Holly plays a central role in shaping the look and feel of the fields, carefully planning color patterns, ordering bulbs from around the world, and designing experiences guests will remember long after they leave.

Their partnership, along with the energy of their six children, is woven into every part of the farm.

From an Idea to a Destination

Planted in 2022. Growing every year.

Tulip Valley Farms was planted in the fall of 2022 with a simple goal: create a guest-first tulip experience during the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. In just two seasons, the farm grew into the West Coast’s largest tulip U-Pick experience and was named the World's Most Scenic Tulip U-Pick Experience by the World Tulip Society.

Today, the farm is known for being family friendly and creating a tulip experience unlike anything else available during the Tulip Festival. From walkable tulip and daffodil fields and U-Pick bouquets, to Mini Highland Cows and daily opportunities to connect with the faces behind the farm - Tulip Valley Farms invites every visitor to create their own adventure.

Guests often describe the experience as immersive, family-friendly, and refreshingly approachable.

Why Tulip Valley Farms Exists

Making room for more joy during spring in Skagit Valley.

Over time, visiting the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival became more challenging for many guests. Fewer tulip acres, increased traffic, limited parking, and restrictive viewing rules made it harder for families to relax and enjoy the experience.

Tulip Valley Farms was created to address those challenges by offering a relaxed, immersive tulip experience.

With grass between the tulip rows, families (and children!) can move freely and touch the blooms. Professional and amateur photographers can unleash their creativity. Guests enjoy a walk-through experience that welcomes curiosity and movement.

The goal was to give Tulip Festival visitors another option to enjoy Skagit Valley's iconic tulip experience.
